２足歩行タコ！？

タコが２本の足で器用に「歩く」様子を、カリフォルニア大バークレー校などのチームが撮影し、２５日付の米科学誌「サイエンス」に報告した。２本足歩行は、筋肉が骨を支えている動物だけができると考えられているが、チームは「運動学的にみて歩行と呼んでもいい」と分析している。

イントロの出だしがめちゃくちゃかっこいい。

As described in Steinbeck's Cannery Row, "the creeping murderer, the octopus... pretending now to be a bit of weed, now a rock... runs lightly on the tips of its arms." Far from the California tide pools in this book, we have observed octopuses that do indeed walk.
